Terry Schmelzenbach
accepted the call to be Senior Pastor and started his duties here at MFC in
August 2004. Terry came to Marietta from the Kansas City district where
he pastored the Marshall Church. Terry and his wife, Susan, both were
graduates of CaldwellHigh School in CaldwellOhio.
Before pastoring in Marshall Missouri, he pastored in TallmadgeOhio for thirteen years.Terry is a 1984
graduate of NazareneBibleCollege
in Colorado SpringsColorado. The Schmelzenbachs have three
daughters, Mandy who is married to Billy, Jamie, and Kelsi.
Bob Van Camp is our new Minister of Music. He is on the platform every Sunday
directing the Praise Team and leading the congregation in the singing of
hymns and choruses.
Mary Ellen Van Camp owns the friendly voice that
answers the phone when you call the church during office hours. She has been
the secretary since 1999 and keeps the office running like a well oiled
machine
Judy Phillips joined the staff at MariettaFirstChurch
of the Nazarene in June 2008 as our Director of Children’s
Ministry.Prior to her work here,
Judy spent 12 years as an aide at St. Mary Catholic School in Marietta where she
worked with large and small groups of students as well as one-on-one with
students in the classroom.Judy
continues to substitute at St. Mary on occasion.
Judy has been an active member and volunteer here at MFC
and in many positions at the Harmar Hill Church of the Nazarene.
Judy and her husband Leonard have two daughter Beth
Daffand Jessica
Phillips and two grandsons, Taylor and Reese.
