Who are we

A Christian Church

· The Church of the Nazarene is a mainline Christian denomination. Its doctrine is similar to that of the Salvation Army and Methodist Churches.

· The Church of the Nazarene receives its name from a title given to Jesus Christ in the Gospels ("Jesus the Nazarene", Matthew2v23), so the name signifies a people who love and follow Jesus Christ.

· The Church of the Nazarene began in 1908. World-wide it has 1.3 million members and 12,000 churches. In the United Kingdom there are 100 churches with over 4,000 members and many more adherents.
